Situation:Hall, prelims exam briefing.
we're all in our classes. Mr. Nick is giving us a lecture on punctuality.
"Some boys don't even realise that ther is an exam on the day. When the teachers call them, they are like 'today got exam ..........(pause)........... meh?' and the teacher will be 'today got exam .............(pause)............. lah!"
see how singlish can change the meaning of a sentence?!
